The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with ThinkStartup and the Management Entrepreneurship Professional Skills Council (MEPSC), has officially launched the School Youth Ideathon 2025, India’s largest innovation and entrepreneurship challenge for school students.
What Is School Youth Ideathon 2025?
The School Youth Ideathon 2025 is a national competition open to all school students in India, inviting young minds from Classes 4 to 12 to submit innovative ideas that tackle real-world challenges. The competition is divided into two categories: Junior (Classes 4–8) and Senior (Classes 9–12). Students participate in teams of 3 to 5 members from the same school, working together to develop bold, practical solutions to local, national, and global issues.

This year, the Ideathon encourages students to innovate in areas such as:

The School Youth Ideathon 2025 features multiple stages, including idea submissions, mentoring, and pitching to industry leaders. The program offers attractive prizes, national recognition, incubation opportunities for top ideas, and special awards such as the Principal of Innovation Award for schools that nurture a culture of innovation. In previous editions, the contest saw participation from over 3 lakh students across 10,000+ schools.
How to Participate
Registration is open to all CBSE, state, and international schools in India. Faculty Development Programs (FDP) are also available for teachers and mentors, empowering them to guide students in innovation and entrepreneurship.
