New Delhi, September 3, 2025: The University of Delhi (DU) has released a press notification inviting applications for the Mop-Up Admission Round for undergraduate programs in the academic session 2025–26. Unlike earlier rounds conducted through CUET, this round will rely only on Class XII marks (or equivalent qualifying exam).
The mop-up round will help fill vacant seats across DU colleges and programs. Admissions will follow merit lists prepared from Class XII scores, in line with the Program-Specific Eligibility Criteria outlined in the Bulletin of Information (UG) 2025.
University officials stated that this opportunity targets students who failed to secure admission earlier. The round will include both already registered candidates (not admitted in any program till September 4, 2025, 5:00 p.m.) and new applicants applying through the CSAS(UG)-2025 portal.

Vacant Seats Display
DU will publish the list of vacant seats on its admission portal admission.uod.ac.in at 5:00 p.m. on September 4, 2025.
Eligibility for Participation
Registered candidates not admitted to any program as of September 4, 2025, can apply by logging into their dashboards under the Mop-Up Tab.
New candidates who did not register earlier must apply at ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
Application Fee
Applicants must pay a non-refundable mop-up fee of ₹1000. This fee is in addition to the regular registration fee of ₹250 (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or ₹100 (SC/ST/PwBD).
Ineligibility
Students already admitted to any DU program through CUET cannot participate in this round.
Admission Process Highlights
Candidates must update their profiles, academic details, and upload supporting documents.
DU will grant admission based on Class XII merit, applying CSAS (UG) 2025 tie-breaking rules if necessary.
Multiple allocations are possible, but candidates must finalize one seat and pay the admission fee within two days.
Students admitted in this round can later switch to a new allocation by cancelling the earlier admission and paying the fee difference.
Every candidate must submit an undertaking declaring they are not admitted to any other DU college for 2025–26.

Important Note
The University clarified that all admissions will happen only through the online portal. It will not accept any offline submissions.
With this mop-up round, DU seeks to ensure transparency and fair access while filling remaining UG seats for 2025–26.
