The University of Delhi (DU) has officially launched its Mop-up Admission Round for Undergraduate Admissions 2025-26 to fill vacant seats across colleges and programs. This round bypasses the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and relies entirely on Class XII marks or equivalent qualifying examinations, following the Program-Specific Eligibility criteria in the Bulletin of Information (UG) 2025.
In its press release dated 3 September 2025, DU invited eligible candidates to apply online through the university’s admission portal (www.admission.uod.ac.in). The university clarified that this round strictly serves students who have not yet secured admission in any DU program.
Students who never registered on the CSAS(UG)-2025 portal can also participate by applying afresh at https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in and paying a one-time, non-refundable mop-up fee of ₹1,000 in addition to the standard registration fee (₹250 for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS categories and ₹100 for SC/ST/PwBD categories).
DU barred candidates already admitted through CUET-based admissions from participating in this special round. The university confirmed that it will not provide any supernumerary quota seats, except for PwBD candidates.
DU Mop-up Round 2025: Key Guidelines and Schedule
DU instructed candidates to ensure the accuracy of academic details and documents before applying. Only students who have passed Class XII may seek admission. Applicants must upload supporting documents and program/college preferences carefully.
Respective colleges will conduct the seat allocation process starting Monday, 8 September 2025, strictly on the basis of Class XII merit scores. Colleges will apply the tie-breaking rules outlined in CSAS (UG)-2025 when required.
A candidate may receive multiple seat allocations simultaneously. Students can accept more than one offer initially, but once they pay for a single program, the university will automatically cancel other offers. Payment links will remain active for two days only.
If a candidate shifts from one college/program to another during this round, the candidate must pay any differential fee (if applicable) within two days of approval. At the time of admission, the candidate must submit an undertaking confirming that they remain unenrolled in any other DU college for the 2025-26 session.

DU urged aspirants to check the admission portal and respective college websites regularly for real-time updates on the mop-up process.
By announcing this round, DU gives eligible students a final opportunity to secure undergraduate admission purely on the strength of Class XII performance, ensuring the university fully utilizes all available seats across its colleges.
