NEW DELHI, August 26, 2025 – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, has announced a special round of offline counselling from August 30 to September 14, 2025. The counselling will be held at the C-Block Seminar Hall, Dwarka campus, and will help fill vacant seats across select undergraduate programmes. Eligible applicants must carry all required documents along with a bank draft of ₹96,000.

GGSIPU Special Round Counselling: Final Opportunity for Unplaced Candidates

The university has scheduled this round exclusively for candidates who did not secure admission in earlier rounds. Students attending must present the ₹96,000 bank draft and documents listed in the official notification. This process ensures proper verification and adherence to admission guidelines. Only applicants who remain unplaced after previous counselling sessions are eligible, reflecting the university’s focus on fair and transparent admissions.

This GGSIPU special round counselling comes after earlier online and offline counselling sessions left some seats vacant in popular courses. The university conducts such rounds regularly to maximize seat occupancy and to give deserving students another chance at admission. Merit will remain the basis of allotment, determined by entrance test scores (CET/NLT/CUET) and document verification.

University officials expect this round to benefit candidates targeting competitive programmes such as BCA, BBA, B.Ed, and BA (JMC). Many students who narrowly missed earlier opportunities may find this as their final window to secure a seat. However, the requirement of a high-value bank draft could discourage some eligible applicants, raising concerns about participation.

Despite this, the initiative highlights the university’s commitment to efficient admissions. By conducting a structured offline process, GGSIPU aims to improve enrolment rates, balance class sizes, and optimize resources before the start of the new academic session. For many, the GGSIPU special round counselling represents both a safety net and a second chance at higher education.
